Email Lists
What is a "mailing list"?
Email mailing lists are an easy way for a person to distribute emails to a group of like minded folks without even knowing who or where they are. For the recipient they are a great way to keep up with news of what's going on.Typically anybody can join a list and they will then receive any emails that any other member sends to the list. Most of the lists mentioned here are run by "yahoogroups". This means they have features that can be configured via the web. One of the most useful of these is to receive only a digest each day of all emails sent to the list. Not only does this mean you get at most one email per day, it also drops any attachments. As a list member you are also able to use the web to browse the full archive of list messages.
Sydney Bisexual Network
Most activity amongst bisexual groups in Australia is coordinated through email lists and SBN is the same. Our list is specifically configured to be mainly an announcements list which means there is generally not many messages. We also prevent attachments so that no porn or viruses can be sent to the list. Similarly, membership is moderated which allows us to boot off anybody posting offensive messages. Bi Sydney
To take part in email discussions about any topic with a Bi flavour this may be the list for you. Generally on this list you'll find members that are proud of their bisexuality. Sydney Bi Youth
The Sydney Bi Youth group runs an email list in the same manner as SBN. This group is specifically for people 27 years or under and their email list is the method by which events are organised and information distributed.To join the SBY email list send a blank email to sby-list-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
Sydney BiMen
A social group for bisexual men to meet other men for friendship, peer support and play. The group's activities include social gatherings at bars and clubs, BBQs and BiMen sex parties as well as joint social activities with other Sydney Bi groups. Membership is open to men who are attracted to men, whether you identify as bi, gay, straight or unsure. Sydney BiMen also welcomes Transgender people.
You'll find that most of the messages on this email list are from Bi guys looking to hook up for sex with other Bi guys.

Australian Bisexual Network
News and information about bisexuality that has a national or international implication will generally appear on the AusBiNet email list. Similarly to the SBN and SBY lists, this list is not for porn. Bi Pride Australia
A list being run by the bi.org.au group. This list is all about activism and how to make people notice the Bi community in Australia. Emphasis goes with the word "Pride" - no quietly hiding in a corner for these folks!
